A sum rule for elastic scattering

A sum rule is derived for elastic scattering of hadrons at high energies which is in good agreement with experimental data on pp̄ available upto the maximum energy √ s = 2TeV . Physically, our sum rule reflects the way unitarity correlates and limits how large the elastic amplitude can be as a function of energy to how fast it decreases as a function of the momentum transfer. The universality of...

φl̄ν from QCD sum rule

We calculate D+ s → φ transition form factors V , A0, A1 and A2, and study semileptonic decay of D+ s → φl̄ν based on QCD sum rule method. We compare our results of the ratios of V (0)/A1(0), A2(0)/A1(0), ΓL/ΓT , and the total decay branching ratio of D+ s → φl̄ν with experimental data, and find that they are consistent.

Rigid Rotor in Phase Space

Angular momentum is important concept in physics, and its phase space properties are important in various applications. In this work phase space analysis of the angular momentum is made from its classical definition, and by imposing uncertainty principle its quantum properties are obtained. It is shown that kinetic energy operator is derived, but it has different interpretation of its parts tha...

The fractional symmetric rigid rotor

Based on the Riemann fractional derivative the Casimir operators and multiplets for the fractional extension of the rotation group SO(n) are calculated algebraically. The spectrum of the corresponding fractional symmetric rigid rotor is discussed. It is shown, that the rotational, vibrational and γ-unstable limits of the standard geometric collective models are particular limits of this spectru...

Gluon Condensate from Superconvergent QCD Sum Rule*

The potential, or more generally the spectrum of a system of heavy quarks cannot be directly discussed in terms of the OPE (operator product expansion). However, one can use dispersion relations to deduce a number of sum rules relating bound state properties to quantities obtainable via the OPE (“ITEP-type” sum rules). One can then use the estimates of nonperturbative contributions to bound sta...
